A lesson package is a prepaid set of lessons, such as 10 lessons for one price. Families pay once, and each lesson they take uses one from the package.
On the Plans tab of your billing dashboard, click Create Plan and choose the Package type. Fill in:
See Billing Plans for the other plan fields.
Enroll the student in the package plan on the Enrollments tab (see Enrollments and Pauses). Trio makes the package invoice at once, with your tax rate. The invoice is a Draft, due 15 days after the enrollment's start date. The family does not see it until you open it on the Invoices tab and choose Send Invoice.
On the Enrollments tab, a package row shows how many lessons are left. For example, "6 left · 5 scheduled" means six prepaid lessons remain and five of them are already on the calendar. When the booked lessons will use up the package, the row also shows the date it runs out. Lessons dated inside a pause do not count.
An Unpaid purchase label means the package invoice is still open. Click it to open that invoice.
Each lesson that is not cancelled uses one prepaid lesson. A late cancellation also uses one, by your cancellation policy. A cancellation with enough notice, and any teacher cancellation, keeps the lesson in the package.
Families see the same balance on their Billing page and dashboard, with a Buy another package button. The button is highlighted when the balance is low. Buying makes a new enrollment on the same plan, starting today, with the plan's expiry. Trio sends the package invoice to the family and opens the pay page. Owners and admins get a "Package purchased" notice in their inbox.
The family's current package is used first. Trio uses the new one after the current one runs out. If the family already has an unpaid package invoice for that plan, the button opens that invoice and does not make a new one.
Family package purchases need the Pro or Max plan and a connected Stripe account.
Set these on the Automation tab, under Packages, and click Save Settings:
