Trio Updates Emails and How to Unsubscribe

By Trio Team · Updated

Trio sends studio owners a short series of emails that help you set up your studio and get your first lessons on the calendar. This article explains what these emails are, which ones always reach you, and how to control them.

What Trio Updates emails are

Trio Updates is the topic that controls Trio's non-transactional emails. It covers onboarding tips now and occasional product news later. When you create a studio, Trio may send you emails such as:

  • A reminder to add your instruments and weekly availability.
  • A prompt to add your first student, schedule your first lesson, or invite a family to their portal.
  • The case for Pro when your Free studio is active.
  • A friendly note if you have not signed in for a while.

Trio sends at most one of these emails per day, and only while each one still applies. If you finish a step, its email stops.

Emails that always reach you

Two emails are transactional. They reach you even when Trio Updates is off, because they are part of running your studio:

  • The welcome email you receive when you create your studio.
  • The connect your bank reminder after you start a paid plan, until your Stripe payout account is connected.

Turn the topic off in settings

Open Notification Settings from the teacher portal. In the Notification topics card, turn Trio Updates off. The change saves automatically.

The settings toggle applies to the studio you are working in. If you own more than one studio, the toggle changes only the active studio.

Use the unsubscribe link

Every Trio Updates email has an Unsubscribe from Trio Updates link in its footer, and your email app may also show a one-click unsubscribe control at the top of the message. Both do the same thing: they turn Trio Updates off.

The unsubscribe link applies to you as a person. It turns Trio Updates off for every studio you own, not only the studio that sent the email. The link keeps working even for an old email, and you do not need to sign in to use it.

Resubscribe

After you unsubscribe, Trio shows a confirmation page with a Resubscribe button. Select it to turn Trio Updates back on for every studio you own. You can also turn the topic back on any time in Notification Settings.
