This article covers what a family's online payment costs your studio, when the money reaches your bank, and the ways families can pay. To connect Stripe and turn on each way to pay, see Connecting Stripe.
A family's online payment goes straight to your studio's own Stripe account. Stripe takes its processing fee from each payment. Trio adds no fee, and the rest of the money is yours. For bank payments, Stripe also charges a fee each time a family links a bank account; see Accepting Bank (ACH) Payments. Stripe sets its own rates and can change them. For the current rates, see Stripe's pricing page.
When you refund a payment back to the card or bank, Stripe keeps its processing fee from the original payment. The refund dialog tells you this before you confirm. See Refunding a Payment.
Stripe sends the money to your bank on Stripe's standard payout schedule. Open Owner Settings and select the Payments tab. When your Stripe account is ready, the Payment Processing card shows:
Stripe Dashboard opens your Stripe account in a new tab. There you see each payout and its date, your payout schedule and your bank details.
Only the owner sees the Payments tab, so only the owner sees these figures and the Stripe Dashboard button.
Online payments, Apple Pay & Google Pay, Cash App Pay and payouts need the Pro or Max plan. On the Free plan, record cash and check payments on your invoices. See Trio plans and your subscription.
