Many studios that use Trio take new students through an application form. You do not need a Trio account to apply. This article tells you how to fill in the form and what happens next.
Use one of these:
Parent / Guardian. Type your First Name, Last Name, Email and Phone, and choose your Relationship to the student. Use an email you check: the studio writes to you there.
Each student. Type the child's First Name and Last Name, and choose an Age Range and an Instrument. If the instrument is not in the list, choose Other and type it. In Experience Level, tell the studio how long the child has played, for example "2 years of piano".
To apply for more than one child, tap + Add another student. You can add up to four students on one form. To take a student off the form, tap Remove.
More questions. Some studios also ask for your Schedule Preference, for example "Weekdays after 3pm", and "How did you hear about us?". Use Additional Notes for anything else, for example a request for a trial lesson.
Then tap Submit Application.
The form shows "Your request has been submitted!" and tells you when to expect an answer, for example "You'll hear back within 5 days".
You also get a "We received your application" email from the studio. If it does not arrive, look in your spam folder, or contact the studio.
The studio reads your application and decides what to do:
Reply to any email from the studio about your application. Your reply goes to the studio.
While the studio has an open application from your email address, you cannot send a second one. The form says "You already have an active application with this studio. We will be in touch soon." Wait for the studio, or reply to their email.
An application stays open while it waits for an answer and while it is on the waitlist. After the studio declines it, you can apply again. Some studios also close an application that is still waiting for an answer after a set number of days. You get no email when that happens, and you can then apply again.
