This article explains the changes you can see on an invoice after it is sent: when it becomes Overdue, late fees, refunds and account credit. It also tells you where your receipt is. To open and pay an invoice, see Viewing & Paying Invoices.
Each invoice shows one status: Unpaid, Partially Paid, Paid or Overdue. Viewing & Paying Invoices explains each one. While a payment is still going through, a Payment Processing label shows next to the status. It does not replace the status.
An invoice becomes Overdue the day after its due date if money is still owed. If your studio gives extra days, it becomes Overdue after those days. Trio then sends you an "Invoice overdue" notice with the amount due.
A payment that is still going through, for example a bank payment, counts toward your balance:
Your studio can add a late fee to an overdue invoice. It shows as a Late fee line on the invoice, and the total goes up. You get a "Late fee applied" email with the new balance.
If your studio waives the fee, the line comes off the invoice and you get a "Late fee waived" email. If you think a fee is wrong, message your studio.
When your studio refunds a payment, a Refunded line shows on the invoice with the amount, and you get a "Refund issued" email. The money goes back to the card or bank account you paid with. A refund to a bank account can take 5 to 10 business days.
Your studio can give you account credit instead of a refund. You get an "Account credit issued" email. Your studio uses the credit to pay part or all of an invoice. When they do, the credit shows as a payment in that invoice's Payment History, and you get an "Account credit applied" email. To ask about your credit, message your studio.
When your studio charges tax, a Tax line shows under the subtotal.
Your receipt is the invoice in Trio. Open the invoice:
When you pay by bank, you also get a "Bank payment cleared" email when the money arrives. See Paying by Bank.
If a payment came from your card or bank without you paying by hand, autopay is probably on. See Payment Methods & Autopay.
