Some teachers give lessons by video call. This article tells you how to join one. To see all of your lessons, see Your Lesson Schedule.
An online lesson has a Virtual label. You see the label on the lesson in your Schedule and in Upcoming Events on your dashboard.
When it is time, a Join button shows on the lesson. Tap it to open the video call in a new tab or in the video app.
The button names the app your teacher uses:
If your teacher uses a different app, the button says Join meeting.
The Join button opens 15 minutes before the lesson starts. It stays until 4 hours after the lesson ends, so you can join late or open the link again.
Before the button opens, your Schedule shows "Join link opens 15 minutes before your lesson". On your dashboard, the lesson shows the Virtual label, and the button shows at the same time as on your Schedule.
A cancelled lesson has no Join button.
Your teacher can add notes to the meeting, for example a passcode or a dial-in number. In your Schedule, these notes show under the Join button.
Your lesson reminders include the join link. Email and text reminders also include the meeting notes. When you book an online lesson, the booking screen tells you this. To choose how you get reminders, see Notification & Communication Settings.
Lesson times are in your studio's time zone. If your phone or computer is set to a different time zone, Trio adds a line under the lesson time with the time where you are, marked "your time". Use that line when you travel or live in another time zone.
If the lesson time is near and you see no Join button, or the link does not work, message your teacher. Open Messages and tap the New message button. See Messaging Your Teacher & Shared Lesson Notes.
